10 Weeks Glance

Our puppies are raised in our home—immersed in everyday life—100% of the time until they transition to their forever families. This intentional, hands-on approach allows us to truly know each puppy’s personality, temperament, and needs. Throughout their time with us, we document their journey through photos and videos, shared here and across our social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram), so you can feel connected every step of the way.

We incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture into our daily routines, giving each puppy a strong, confident foundation from the very beginning. We evaluate at 7 weeks using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test, conducted by Marie Melton (GSC Training & Transport). This allows us to thoughtfully match puppies with: Family homes, Active lifestyles, Therapy/service potential.

Development Timeline

Birth – 2 Weeks
Puppies are monitored around the clock, 24/7. While our mothers have exceptional natural instincts, these early weeks are critical—before eyes and ears open—so we ensure constant supervision for both mom and puppies. ​This stage is ENS & beginning Puppy Culture stimuli. Lots of cuddle time.

2 – 4 Weeks
As their eyes and ears open, the world begins to expand. We introduce:
  • Sensory toys (varied textures & sounds)
  • Hanging and ground-based enrichment
  • Early food exploration (blended meals)
  • Gentle environmental stimulation
  • Puppy Culture noise stimuli (vacuum, music, fireworks, etc.)
Personalities begin to emerge during this stage.

​4 – 5 Weeks
This is a major developmental phase. We begin:
  • Potty box & pee pad training
  • Raised bed introduction
  • Expanded living space
  • Larger, more interactive toys
  • First full bath experiences
Puppies are also gently introduced to our grooming table to build confidence and allow for early structural evaluation.

6  - 10 Weeks
We begin foundational training and real-world exposure. This includes:
  • Intro to crate & leash training (short, positive sessions) until they leave us
  • Independence and confidence-building exercises
  • Indoor and outdoor environmental stimuli
  • Water introduction and retrieving instincts
  • Car rides and safe community exposure

Raised Alongside Cat

If you have cats—great news, we do too! Our puppies are introduced to cats within just days of birth, creating early familiarity and comfort. Over time, they mainly interact with our younger resident cats—Liv (tortie), Minnie (black & white), Willy (black), and Lulu (tabby)—who help teach them appropriate boundaries, play behavior, and respect. While their learning continues once they leave us, they are given a thoughtful and positive introduction to multi-species living from the start.
